Thursday April, 22

6:30-8:30 PM

Upper Arlington Lifelong Learning
3600 Tremont Avenue

On Friday October 13, 1307 the world’s most powerful military order met a tragic end. Across Europe, Knights Templars were arrested and the leaders burned at the stake. Their extreme wealth and power combined with military failures in the Holy Land led to a quick and scandalous suppression by French King Philip the Fair and Pope Clement V. Class discusses the Templar’s relationship with kings and sultans, fateful battles and inquisition, and later Templar architecture, as well as legends associated with the Templars.
